What is engaged learning?
Engaged learning is the heart of CSU. You won't just be learning in the classroom — you’ll have the entire city as your campus. From immersion in your field to networking in and out of the classroom, you'll have real-world opportunities to apply your growing knowledge directly to your field.
How do we do it?
Internships. Lab space. Partnerships. Programs connected to Playhouse Square. These are just a few of the off-campus options that allow CSU students to connect with the vibrant City of Cleveland and gain valuable experience in their field while still in school.
Where does it take place?
CSU students have direct access to exclusive internships, campus employment, federal work-study jobs and full-time career positions with top area employers like Progressive, Sherwin-Williams, Hyland Software, Cleveland Clinic, Parker Hannifin, Cleveland Guardians, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and more.

In October of 1968, the Cleveland State University Board of Trustees created the College of Graduate Studies to facilitate the operation of graduate degree programs and to assist in the development of new programs.
The mission of the College of Graduate Studies is to provide service and support to graduate students, faculty, and academic programs that promote high quality and diverse advanced study opportunities for the betterment of Cleveland State University, the citizens of the State of Ohio, and the world.
