College of Graduate Studies Elections - Call for Nominations - Spring 2025

Subject:          College of Graduate Studies Elections - Call for Nominations

During spring semester each year the faculty of the College of Graduate Studies are called upon to fill vacancies on the University Graduate Council, the Graduate College representative to Faculty Senate, and the College of Graduate Studies Committees.  At this time, we are requesting volunteers from the Graduate Faculty to serve in these positions.  

University Graduate Council and College of Graduate Studies Committees:
The structure, function, and current roster for the Graduate Council and each College of Graduate Studies committee are given in the attached call for nominations notice.  Vacancies that must be filled are noted on each roster.  Following this nomination process, a ballot will be held to elect members of Graduate Council where vacancies are identified.  The Graduate Council is responsible for making appointments to the College of Graduate Studies committees.  

On behalf of the University Graduate Council, I encourage you to consider service on the Graduate Council and/or on one of the noted committees.  Although a faculty member may serve on only one committee at a given time, you may volunteer your services to more than one committee, if your interests so dictate.  Only voting members of the Graduate Faculty are eligible to serve.  If you are willing to serve in any capacity described in the enclosed attachments, please reply by Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
